a Ok, so finally my INR 2.6! Weeeeee, and YAY! Maybe I should have a INR party now! Had my apt. with my new hemotologist so far she's kinda cool. And today I topped the number of vials of blood that I had to give. The past record was 7 in one day, and today it was 11! So, ya I'm a bit lightheaded and such. The new doctor is doing 15 tests on my blood, and some of them have to be frozen, and then I see her again next week. Then she's going somewhere till Oct. 25th or something.
I'm tired, but next time I blog I'm gonna so rant about my regular doctor. Freakin give me a lecture!!!!

Warning this post contains girly problem stuff read at your own risk!!
My birthday went well as birthdays go, although it was squished together with the lady who we are staying with's daughter-in-law, and kinda turned out to also be a good-bye party for said ladies granddaughter. LOVERLY ISN'T IT? Boy, I can't wait until we have our own place. But I got some nice things, like the first season of Dead Like Me! I've so watched it 3 times!
I had made my gyno apt for the 16th so I wouldn't be all hurty on my birthday. He did the regular appointment stuff and then he took a biopsy of something up in there. And OUCH, freakin' bleepety bleepin bleep!!!! Talk about the WORST cramps for like a week or so after! And not to mention the bleeding. Ugh it was so icky gross. Then I started dropping clots from that area, not little ones, ones that made sounds when they hit the red sea that was the toilet water. Nasty, huh? So I wanted someone else to witness the horror that was happening to me, mom can always be counted on to comfort me in times like these. And she kinda freaked out and insisted on taking me to the ER, a different ER this time! We told the ER doc about my rare blood problems and the current um situation. All he did was take some blood from me and find that my INR was 8.26 or close to that, and then gave me a vitamin K shot and sent me on my merry way, while mom is still worrying, I think I've given her like 40 new grey hairs.
By the next day I hadn't had much improvement as far as I could tell, and mom thought they should have admitted me to keep close tabs on my INR. So we go to yet another ER, this one was in Ft. Worth. They take blood, do a girly exam and a ultrasound. The INR this time was 4.6, so I got sent one with instructions not to take any of my blood thinners until I was at 2.0 to 3.0. So I didn't take any that night got my blood tested. But that night I took 5mg of my blood thinners and found out what my INR was, it went down to 1.73! Freakin buttheads! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Crap!!! Got it checked last week and it was 1.52. Shit! So I'm within clotting range, great! But I'm not bleeding anymore! So I have to get my INR checked tomorrow and I'm seeing my pain management doctor, and I've finally got a hemotologist that I get to see tomorrow too! Um, well make that today!
We did find out why my periods are all so weird and whatnot. I have Complex Non-atypical Hyperplasia. What all this means is (thank you lil pamphlet that I picked up at my gyno's). Hyperplasia is a condition that occurs when the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows too much. It is a benign (not cancer) condition. In some cases, however, it can lead to cancer of the uterus (but not in my case). So my gyno wants to put me on progesterone, which ironically can cause blood clots!, and then in 3 to 4 months do another biopsy this time he said he'd make me sleepy for it. And he might have to do a D & C, which is: Dilation and Curettage, the opening of the uterus is stretched (dilated). Well they use the curettage thingy to clean ya out! FUN FUN!
If you've made it this far thru this entry u should go get yourself a cookie! If any of you who have been reading my blog and have been waiting bated breath for a new entry would like me to add your page to my links let me know in the comments! Thanks for being a champ and reading all of this! WAY TO GO YOU!!!!!

It's almost that time again, the big 3-0, and I still feel 21ish. And speaking of 21ish it's been 9 years since my first blood clot. So you know birthdays are kinda bittersweet. I will be accepting gifts all thru the month of August. I wouldn't mind a house, but I guess a tank of gas would be enough, so I can get to the million plus doctor apts I have every month. Having a rare blood problem is great, I always love being looked at like I've all the sudden grown another head when I tell them the names of my syndromes. Well I'll blog later and let you know if I got a house or a tank of gas!

I'm not feeling good everything is hurting right now. I'm sitting here and it kinda feels like the room is spinning, kind like I'm on the teacups at disneyland. Mom is worried and wants to take me to the ER yet again, but what would they do for me? I might get Dr. Disney again least he'd understand the teacup referance. I might just go and laydown and watch a movie, cuz of course I'm not sleepy yet. Well the spinning isn't so bad anymore, darn it. Wish the pain would go instead.

I have decided that I like living in Texas. It's more humid then California, but it's cheaper to live here. If I had my choice I'd live in Monterey, California. I'm very relaxed and at peace there, but it's too expensive to live there. So living there is still on my 'To Do' list, right up there with Glen Phillips! I'm getting worried about my mom's health. She needs to go to a doctor and get some pills for her feets. She doesn't have a lot of feeling in them anymore, and its freaking me out. I don't want her to lose them. I always have to have something to worry about, don't I?
I talked to Ali today, we haven't talked in about 2 weeks! But shes a busy girl, so I understand. The past 2 weeks I've been sick, and had a trip to the ER along with other doctors apts. My belly button started to bleed on Saturday night. I know eww gross, and yes my belly button. I saw the doctor and he said it has a little cut in it and it bled alot cuz my PT (protime) was 3.3.
This is from WebMD about Protimes.
In order for your health care provider to determine the correct dose of warfarin, it will be necessary for you to have blood tests. The tests are performed in a laboratory, usually once a week to once a month, as directed by your doctor.
A test called the prothrombin time (PT or protime) test is used to calculate how fast your blood is clotting and whether your medication dose needs to be changed.
Illness, diet, medication changes and physical activities may affect the rate at which your blood clots. Tell your health care provider about changes in your health, medications (prescription and over-the-counter) or lifestyle so appropriate dosage adjustments can be made in your warfarin therapy.
Neat, huh?
So I bled more cuz of my PT. And the doctor at the Er glued my belly button so it'd stop bleeding. Doesn't that sound loverly? Don't you wish you had your belly button glued too??!!? I know envy me! Watch now all the crazy kids are gonna get their belly buttons glued too. Um I'm now tired so I'm gonna take my glued belly button to bed, and yes I do stick to the sheets.

I am the worst blogger ever! I am still alive and kicking! But I'm no longer in California. I currently reside in Texas! Talk about big changes! It's much nicer here then living in the desert, it's all green and hilly! Right after I moved out here I didn't have my blood thinners for about 4 days, and my blood level dropped so bad it was scary! I was within clotting range for almost 2 months. Which made me worry so then I gave myself a migrane headache! But FINALLY my blood level is good. I'll blog more later about everything! And I need to put my links back up and my guestbook and everything! Later!
